April 29 2:30 p.m.

Day 99 - 2:30 p.m. - Caitlin's blood finally thickened enough to take out the lines. The part shown is resembles a porceline coffee stirring straw more than anything. They were the actual ports that led to her heart and allowed for the scope and the devise to be delivered there safely. After removing them the nurses spent about 15 minutes applying pressure to the sight to get the bleeding under control. We can't imagine what it would have been if the blood had been thinner.
